The BPI offers access to performance genetics

In addition to breeding age does, the BPI will offer a select number of bucks, and preserved genetics in the form of semen straws and embryos to kick-start your program or add something new to your farm's genetic mix.

Semen Straws

Consignors will be offering some semen straws on some quality bucks that a buyer can add this year to their herd and next years kid crop.

Frozen Embryos

Embryos offer buyers a chance to access the genetics of a cross previously selected by other breeders. Typically the breeder has selected that cross in order to produce superior progeny. An embryo allows a program to produce that same quality progeny without owning the sire or dam.

A selection for everyone

By inviting performance testing farms to consign, along with the performance tested host farms animals, the BPI host farms intend to offer a selection of goats and genetics which will suit all breeders and their pocket books. Please mark your calendar to attend the BPI this year. Spend some free time in the surrounding country side and enjoy Lexington and Louisville within a short drive.
